I write in response to the opportunity advertised for Analyst, Debt & Alternatives, Future Fund. I have over ten years experience in financial markets as an investment advisor to a diverse array of clients, including Not for Profit Foundations, government agencies and wealthy families. Through good fortune and hard work this career has seen me employed across a wide range of different roles, and in doing so has provided me with the opportunity to identify the areas and activities that provide me with the greatest satisfaction and enjoyment. This introspection has encouraged me to turn my attention and aspiration toward a more focused career in investment management (at present I also manage the day-to-day running of my company). In addition to experience gained "on the ground", I am also CFA Charterholder and have a Master of Applied Finance, Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, plus several other qualifications within the field of financial advice. I have proven ability at turning ideas into commercially successful enterprises, having spent seven of the past 15 years running businesses. Prior to my career in financial services I was a paratrooper in the Australian Army (Royal Australian Regiment), serving on operations both in Australia and abroad.
