Managing Director, Third Sector Advantage
Third Sector Advantage was started in late 2010 as a specialist asset and risk consultant to the Not-for-Profit sector (the "Third Sector", as it is sometimes called). Third Sector Advantage is parent company to two brands;
A cornerstone of both businesses is our 'Satisfaction Guarantee' which enshrines our commitment to the values of excellence and accountability and ensuring our clients' interests (both tangible and intangible) remain the focus of everything we do. Our dedication to our clients' needs has been rewarded with our clients' trust and loyalty. This is reflected in our extremely low client attrition rate (~ 5% p.a.) and strong growth in client assets to a peak of more than $200 million. |

Our brands include First Wave Financial and miProtect. As director of FWF, my role involves the development and implementation of all business strategy, including the integration of technology into our services and processes. *In January 2018, we entered into a MoU to sell FWF's clients and assets to a Melbourne-based financial planning group. We expect completion in early February 2018. |

2009 - 2013
|
Board Member, Catchment Youth Services
Located in the City of Darebin, Catchment Youth Services (CYS) provides emergency accommodation to homeless youth escaping violence. I joined the Board on invitation from the Secretary and CEO, with the specific goal of helping the organisation get their finances "back on track" and exploring options to keep the refuge operating. In my time with Catchment Youth Services I helped bring about change in the way they organised and administered their finances. This enabled CYS to demonstrate good financial stewardship and ensured that government funding, which was under immediate threat, was maintained. With government funding uncertainty an ongoing issue, I took the view that our best chance of safeguarding the organisation's long-term future would be to join forces with another emergency accomodation provider. Working with the Committee of Management and CEO we undertook a review of options for partnership or merger and in 2013 successfully merged with another organisation. |
