Our Process
Seeking financial advice, especially for the first time, can be a daunting and confronting process. To try to alleviate the stress we follow a clear and transparent advice process that puts you in control and puts your needs first.
Introduction
The first step is, of course, an introduction. Typically this takes the form of a joint email with the party that has referred you to us.
If you have been referred by one of your existing advisors it's often because they have identified one or more issues that they think needs to be addressed. In most cases it's helpful if we can have a quick phone call or email to establish what is concerning them as in many cases we can help answer the query without expense or the need for a meeting. Of course to allow this conversation to take place you must provide your adviser with consent to discuss your situation with us. |
Prepare for your appointment
Before our first meeting we will send you an introduction pack, which will include a list of information to bring to our first meeting or provide beforehand.
Initial meeting
This is all about getting a "high level" understanding of your ambitions, priorities and your long-term goals. This is equally an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have of us, and decide whether you would like to progress to the next step.
Research & Analysis
If you decide to work with us, the next step is collect and analyse details of your financial situation, and confirm our understanding of your key objectives, goals and priorities. Once all the information requested has been received we will get to work deconstructing and reconstructing your financial strategy to identify key risks, opportunities and areas for improvement. Recommendations
A financial plan can be viewed as a roadmap of sorts; designed to get you from where you are today, to where you want to be. Your personal financial plan will explain what steps should be taken, why and when these should be implemented, as well as clearly outlining any risks or costs that may need to be addressed along the way. |
Approval and Implementation
Once we have agreed on the strategy and recommendations, an implementation timetable will be set which identifies what actions are to done, and when. Where a completion date can be reliably estimated, this will be provided to you prior to prior to your approval of our strategies.
Maintenance & Review
We provide a range of ongoing services that are tailored to need the specific needs of our clientele. As part of your financial plan we will include recommendations as to which, if any, of these services may be suitable and cost effective for your individual circumstances.
